The audio won't play

If a story won’t play, these steps clear it up almost every time.

• Check the volume — both the device volume and any silent/mute switch (on iPhone, the little switch on the side).
• Tap play once, firmly. Phones only allow audio to start after a tap, so the first play needs a deliberate tap rather than a swipe.
• Check your connection for the first play of a story. Once a story has played, it’s kept on your device and works offline after that.
• Close and reopen the app. If you installed it to your home screen, fully close it and open it again.
• Update your browser if it’s an old version.
